Where are you based?
We are based in the North-West, but travel all over the UK, and have
even performed abroad.
Do you have additional expenses?
We charge minimal
travel expenses – normally fuel for one vehicle.
Do you play outside?
We can play outside providing it’s not raining, and not in direct
sunlight, as this can damage the player’s instruments.
What does the ensemble wear?
Normal dress code is DJs and long black.
How long do we need to book you for?
This depends on which part of the day you would like the group to play
for. If you make an initial enquiry, we will gladly discuss this over
the phone.
Can we book you for extra hours on the day?
This is not always possible as we may have other commitments, although
we try to be as flexible as possible.
How far in advance can I make a booking?
We often take bookings up to two years in advance, which of course means
you don’t have to pay any more if our prices are increased.
Do you play continuously?
No! We need to take short breaks – especially for bookings over two
hours. However, we normally work our breaks to your requirements, for
example when speeches are being made.
What if a player is ill?
If for any reason a player cannot make an engagement, we will always
substitute them with another highly experienced and professional
musician.
Can you play any pieces of music?
We can arrange any piece of music if enough notice I given, but may not
be able to take requests on the day itself.
Is there anything we need to provide for the group?
All you need to provide is adequate space for the group to play
(approximately 2x3 metres) and an armless chair for each player. Any light
refreshments are always most welcome!
